2008 Fall Conference
Developing Imagination in the
Eclectic Mind:
Arts and Creativity in Education

This year's conference will provide multiple avenues for exploring the conference theme, Developing Imagination in the Eclectic Mind: Arts and Creativity in Education . Thematic sessions will include presentations on research, strategies, position papers, and descriptions of programs/projects or needed innovations in teacher education and pre-K - grade 12 instruction. Roundtables will present an arena for the discussion of research, theory, history, classroom practice, collaborations and policy. Panel presentations will have multiple presenters discuss current issues, research, policy, and/or classroom practices. Poster sessions will allow multiple presentations in one location. And working paper sessions are designed to allow participants to discuss research in progress.

2008 Spring Student Teacher Conference

M.A.T.E.'s annual spring student teacher conference provides new graduates from teacher preparation programs across the state opportunities to attend multiple sessions which introduce them to influential members of Michigan's educational institutions, and help prepare them to enter the workforce. Last spring's program is linked here to get a better idea of all the conference has to offer. Check back for news about this spring's conference.
